The frustration of publishing

   As the title says I am having frustrations with publishing. Ok let me back track a bit, I am publishing with a hybrid publishing company. So technically I am self publishing but the publishing company is helping me with the businessy( yes I know it's not a word) part of it. Well since some of the sites/programs have merged(i.e. Createspace and kdp) so somethings don't work like they used to.

I was trying to order some copies of my book so I can sell them at my launch party but I can't until the book is live ( out so the public can buy it) but I don't want it out until the 20th and I want the launch party to be like the 25th. So I contacted the publisher ( which is the owner of the publishing company and the editing company I went with). She asked if we could talk yesterday ( Friday December 28 2018) and told me she has the ebook convertion(sp). I said yes but she is also in the middle of moving and with the holiday stuff. I got lost in the shuffle of her life. Which I do understand but it is still frustrating as hell. 

I am not going to yell at her I will be understanding, this is the first time I was forgotten about with her. I am just frustrated.

Well I better get back to my promotional stuff and writing

April so far

      April so far is going well; I have been getting some writing done. I also have been trying to do more to promote my books. I have also done one event so far this month (April 13th), I have another one this coming weekend (April 21st). I sold seven books at this last event two sets of all three books that are currently out, and one of the first book (New Life By The Full Moon).      I have been working on book four of the Ann Smith series which I believe is the last book of the series. This month is hard.

    I am having a rough month, the only event I had this month was on the 3rd. it did not go as planned, it was a slow event. No one really showed up to it, I did sell 2 books that day. I have been trying to write more, but it isn't going as well as I would like but I am getting words on paper so to speak. I am also dealing with some health issues; I will be OK I just need to get through this.         But I am still moving forward with my writing, scheduling events I am taking part of and promoting my books, events. I know this is not the most thrilling information, but this is my life. I write this blog to let people who want to do anything creative as more than a hobby that sometime life can effect what you are doing more than you could ever think possible. But I do not give up on my dreams. life can be a pain some time, but it doesn't mean you stop. I will get back to writing happy reading happy writing

May

  So far May is going well, my first event this month was on the 4th, it went well I sold 11 books and got to talk to interesting people. my next event is on May18th, it is taking place in Maryville IL. I am doing this event for the first time; I am hoping it is a good event for me.     I have been working on redoing my vampire book which was pulled from print years ago the title is still Nirvash, A Vampire's Tale. I finished up doing the self-edit and adding some details all on paper. I need transcribe it to the document on my laptop. I am going to try and get it out by the end of the year so i can possibly get Lovebug's life story out the following year.   I don't have a whole lot more to say at this time.
