Dealing with writer’s block

Now before I start, I need to say that this is how I deal with writer’s block and what I do may or may not work for you.

Writer’s block can be a real pain in the backside, but when I start feeling like I hit a block in my writing I have a few things I do that really helps me. I thought I would  share a few with you, they might give you an idea of something that might help you when you hit writer’s block.

The first thing I do is exercise, I work out 3 days a week not to fight writer’s block but to try to help prevent it. I noticed cardo helps more that lifting weights but doing both is good my my body. After working out I always feel better and my mind feels clearer.

The next thing is hang out with friends and family which due to the pandemic that has become much harder to do. But when I could/can it helps being around my friends and family talking about thing other than my writing. I’m not sure why it helps but it does. Plus I enjoy being with people I care about.

The last think I will share may not seem like it would help but for me it does. I craft, I will knit, do bobbin lace, diamond paint. Just about anything crafty that doesn’t involve writing. For me it helps to ease any anxiety and stress I might be feeling. Both which can cause writer’s block so easing them helps greatly.

These are a few things that help me and again they may or may not help you but I thought I would share.

Now it’s time for me to get busy with my writing.

Happy reading

Happy writing
