June is almost over

   Its been a little more then the school year ended, and my kids are officially bored lol. I have been trying to keep them busy but they are a teenager and a preteen so everything I try to do with them they don't find very fun. It has also been either very hot or rainy so outside stuff is not really something we can do right now. There have been some illness and injures in the last month which sucks. As of right now no one is ill or injured so (knocking on wood) we are all doing well.

   The kids still have dance practice every Monday and we do have performances and appearances ( walking in parades) this summer. We have 2 new dancers, one of which is a good friend of mine and my hubby's. I do try and write while the kids practice, when I am not needed to be the devil in the devil dance.

   In the writer part of my life, I have been writing more at night while everyone here is a sleep that way I am not interupted too often. I am kind of stuck in one scene that is dealing with police and a threatening letter. I will figure it out it will just take time. The only downside to writing at night is I don't get much sleep so I end up napping at some point during the day. I am still planing on getting this novel done by October.


    Well I am off to spend a little time with hubby and our kids

April so far

      April so far is going well; I have been getting some writing done. I also have been trying to do more to promote my books. I have also done one event so far this month (April 13th), I have another one this coming weekend (April 21st). I sold seven books at this last event two sets of all three books that are currently out, and one of the first book (New Life By The Full Moon).      I have been working on book four of the Ann Smith series which I believe is the last book of the series. This month is hard.

    I am having a rough month, the only event I had this month was on the 3rd. it did not go as planned, it was a slow event. No one really showed up to it, I did sell 2 books that day. I have been trying to write more, but it isn't going as well as I would like but I am getting words on paper so to speak. I am also dealing with some health issues; I will be OK I just need to get through this.         But I am still moving forward with my writing, scheduling events I am taking part of and promoting my books, events. I know this is not the most thrilling information, but this is my life. I write this blog to let people who want to do anything creative as more than a hobby that sometime life can effect what you are doing more than you could ever think possible. But I do not give up on my dreams. life can be a pain some time, but it doesn't mean you stop. I will get back to writing happy reading happy writing

May

  So far May is going well, my first event this month was on the 4th, it went well I sold 11 books and got to talk to interesting people. my next event is on May18th, it is taking place in Maryville IL. I am doing this event for the first time; I am hoping it is a good event for me.     I have been working on redoing my vampire book which was pulled from print years ago the title is still Nirvash, A Vampire's Tale. I finished up doing the self-edit and adding some details all on paper. I need transcribe it to the document on my laptop. I am going to try and get it out by the end of the year so i can possibly get Lovebug's life story out the following year.   I don't have a whole lot more to say at this time.
