May was uneventful I spent all of may and most of June getting ready to go to Getting Witchy With it in New Orleans. I will get in more detail about the event in a moment, I want to give you all some idea of what it took for me to get ready. First let me say we had already had our room resereved last year for the end of June. I spent my time making button/pins,magnets and I had to order some book marks and busness cards. I had to make sure we had everything we would need for the event and the 4 days we would be gone. I made sure our son knew how to take care of my birds and that he had food to eat while we where gone. We left early Friday June 27th it was a 10 hour drive, we got to the hotel early that evening. we rested most of the evening /night then hung out with some fellow authors who also were selling books at Getting Witchy with It. that Saturday June 28th my husband and i went to sign in and support authors who would not be there Sunday. January was a very long month, it seemed to take forever. I did get stuff done last month. I am sorry I didn’t make this post sooner. I was working on getting everything done and together for the event I took part in on February 8th. I will go into it in the February newsletter/ blog. I took part in a weekly writing prompt from hold my pen promptcast. Julie Defisher started last year. I have added to the list of wips I need to work on. I was told they would be here January 24th. Then it was moved to the 6th of February, after like 5 chat conversations I got them on the 7th of February. That was last Friday and the day before my event, and we’r...

Before I gave it to my beta reader who is really good with all the english stuff I am not very good with. I did some writing done on more than one story. I also took part in the weekly prompt from the Hold my pen promptcast. Lets talk about the editing process. For me its self editing to catch as must as I can. I self edit at least four times before I give it to anyone else. My beta reader is my mother in law to be honest. She loves all the things that deal with english, which is helpful to me. I am dyslexic, so I am not great with spelling and grammar. She goes over and reads my stories ensuring everything looks good. She is a huge help to me. My muse has been a busy bee and has me working on a few stories I have written at least a few pages on. I also have written on a few new story ideas, the only thing I haven't worked on was...
