I have been busy with preparing for archon 43 ( https://archonstl.org/  ) on top of doing all my writing, rewriting and promoting. I have just about everything I need to sell my books at archon. I am getting really excited because I have always liked going to archon, but now there is this nervousness I am feeling. I have never really sold anything before, and I am not sure how people will receive my book. I know I have been posting on my social media pages about my book and trying to get the word out about it. But that’s not the same as trying to sell my book to people in person. I know I will do fine and everyone I have talked to that support me has been telling how they think I will do great. It’s just me trying to do do something outside my comfort zone. I will do good:) and I hope to see some of you at archon this year. Happy reading Happy reading

    I have been thinking about something for a few weeks now and was wondering what you all think. OK, let me star by saying that a friend of mine had let someone she knows borrow the book she bought from me earlier this year. She told me her friend was being pulled out of the story by a term I used in the book. The term was “felinethropy” it’s a made up word for any feline Werecreature like in my book Werejaguars.     Now I understand it’s a new word and for anyone who read Laurel K Hamilton books it might be off putting a bit. So what I have been thinking about is making up a terminology sheet for my books. I thought it might be helpful since I have made up words and use words that may not originally be used in the way I am using them.     Would you want the list?    I wanted to let you all know what something I find inspiring. Its simple and silly I know. I was watching a video on Facebook one day and it was about artist to was feeling very low and like she’s a failure. Because she wasn’t where her friends were, being that they had families or getting married or had great careers. Then her boyfriend came in her apartment which was messy and said it’s time to stop the  pity party and through his phone on the bed near her. It was open to a tumblr  site and she’s reading through the stories were all these other people that have been in the same spot she’s been in.  One sentence and I know I am  going to butcher this, but it’s basically goes “You can’t follow other peoples paths and forget to create your own.” Basically  it means you have to do what makes you happy. Follow your own dreams, don’t try to follow someone else’s dream. Don’t follow their path, create your own to your own dreams. Keep going, don’t compar...

I know I didn't blog last month.  I was busy trying to get everything set up to post while we were on vacation.  Then for aweek we where on vacation in Montana. Once we got  home we were dealing with things we got in the mail,  unpacking, and appointments.  Now i am caught up with things i am writing again and promoting my bottom off.I will do my best to keep up with my blog.  But i got to go get more writing done.  I have not gotten much writing or anything done. I have been dealing with people.. no actually just one person who was unsupportive and negative. she claimed to be my friend, but wasn't much of a friend and never really was supportive. she actually told me I would never be a best selling author and I need to get a really job. I know I may never be a best seller but I'm not going to give up like that. I have ended the friendship this week, and I was letting my emotions about losing a friend effect my work.  I decided that she was not worth me feeling down. she didn't help me by being negative and faking being supportive. I have been writing since yesterday afternoon and working on  a few things. I am telling you this to tell you, if you have anyone who is always negative, tell you they support you but are not supportive. then it is time to let them go. It will hurt because you do care about them but it is best to try and have only positive, supportive people in your lif...
