This month has not been very eventful, I have been writing but no siging events until September. Which is ok, I was able to release Lovebug's Story and get book 5 pretty much finished. I was able to get a good chunk of my dire wolf book written. I'm also getting my health issues figured out. So this month not being eventful is a good thing My next signing event is Lexington legendary book bash in Lexington KY September 12th. I will be there with Micca Michaels along with many other awesome authors. Since I haven't had any events I was able to get/makes all the new swag I needed along with some books I needed. I got Lovebug's Story out last month, which I'm sure I talked about in my last blog. I also got Life By The New Moon(book 5) finished except I need to make the cover, bookmark, buttons, and magents designs. I have time to get that stuff done since i don't beleive it will be out until January 2027. I have gotten 16,000 words written so far on my dire wol...

We are going to visit a good friend. Let's start with the move, last weekend(June 6th) my husband and I helped our youngest child move from one dorm to another. It took us 4ish hours, mainly because there ways a mix up with the keys. Everything got figured out and we got them all moved in. Then our youngest took us out to lunch as a thank you for helping. We got to visit a little before we had to head home, when we left our youngest went to bed since they are working a early morning shift. Now the book release, Lovebug's Storyis out. May

I have had a busy begaining of May, the rest should be calmer, well for the most part. I will start with the fact I have started another book that is tied into Ann Smith's world but not from her pov. I am finishing up with book 5 and should be getting it to my beta reader by the end of May. Last weekend I watched my youngest graduated with a batchlor's degree, we help them move to another part of the campus because they are contenuing their education. I am so proud of them! I also have some big news, but I will get into that in a bit. I started a book about a person who is a brand new shifter. She was disown by her family, so se moved into Lebanon Illinois. but her family is determined to rid her of the "demon" inside her. I am not sure if it will be more than one book, but it will definitely be one book. I am working on the last few self edits on book 5 and it has a title, it is Life By The New Moon. I am trying to fill in any plot holes it might have. I am k...

The editing on book 5 is still going. I am trying to add in some details and fill in plot holes. I am trying to get it done so I can get it published before the end of the year or the begaining of next year. I got everything for Lovebug's Story designed, I need to get the story to my beta reader so I can possibly have it published before Sept. there afew people who are very much looking forward to it being published. The new stories I have been working on alittle come from some prompts I wrote for the Hold My Pen Promptcast. I am not sure about the silly little story will be published. Sammy's story will be published at some point. she has alot to talk about. I need to get back to writing, my muse is really being pushy today hap...

March

March I have been busy with life. I have not gotten as much writing done as I wanted. I did get the rough draft of book five done and started self editing it. I did not have any events happening. at the begainning of March my husband and I had to take our youngest to the airport for a study abroad thing over spring break. Then a week later we went back to the airport to pick them up and take them back to their collage. After that I had a dr. appointment, at the end of the month my cats had a vet appointment. So lots of running around. I did find time to finish book five and printed it out to do my self edits. That took longer than I wanted it to. I now need to transcribe my changes and additions in to the document on my laptop. I also have been working on getting LoveBug done so I can git it out before Sept. I did not have any signing events in March, I had too much going on to sign up for an event. Honestly I don't have any signing events until September and October. ...

February

February was not as busy as some months have been. I also got some not so great news and I'm not going to go into a whole detail about that. The month started with me doing Flrty in Kansas City, Missouri. The rest of the month was mainly writing and my husband's birthday at the end of the month. Like I said, it was not very busy. I did flirty in Kansas City. I sold four books and five keychains. I got to meet PA power which was awesome. He's a really nice guy. I was going to do flirty next year, but I've gotten bad news and have decided that I will no longer be doing any of the events that this particular group posts, I'm not going into detail. It's just heartbreaking. I did you writing some last month unfortunately not as much as I would've liked because I have not been feeling the best. I did get Lovebug's story edited by myself. I handed it to my husband who's going to help me with anything that might need more detail because I'm not seeing ...

January

this past month was spent trying to get everything ready for Flirty in Kanas City. I have also been writing. I have been collecting the things I need like making sure I have all my books. Making sure I have the appropriate swag to go with books. But also making sure I have things like my banner ready and the banner frama, Along with the wagon, which I've upgraded my wagon to a double-decker wagon which will make it a little bit easier for me to haul things. I am proud to say I do have all my stuff and I'm ready to go. I just have to charge the batteries of things that have to be charged. I have been writing, but not as much as I should have been, but I have got some writing done. I got love bug story done as far as I can be. I need to print it out for my beta reader. I have not done that yet. I worked on the fifth book of my Anne Smith series. I'm hoping to get it done before the end of the year so I can hand it to my beta reader so I can publish it possibly the beginnin...

December

My December was busy mostly with family stuff, and doctor appointments. I have gotten some writing done and then it was Christmas. Let's start with family stuff, I spent time baking cookies with my son and Husband. I also spent alot of time talking to my youngest on the phone They had to work on campus during winter break. The shopping for gifts and wrapping them took alot of my time. I had to make sure i got my youngest's gifts to them before the campus closed for Christmas. Now the doctor appointments, I had a couple of allgeric reactions oi had to go get meds for. In between the visits to the urgent care I saw an allergist, he ran a bunch of tests, they were all normal or the same as they were in october. So I am still unsure what is going on, don't worry I feel ok just wish I knew what was happening. Christmas was ok, it started Christmas eve at my mother inlaw's. Most of my inlaws where there and we had a yummy dinner and opened gifts. During the gifts my you...

November

November was kind of busy at the beginning of November I had Flirty in Iowa. I've had several doctors appointments and I have been writing some. Flirty in Iowa went well I sold I think six books and I got to meet Aspen Winters and PJ Spark two of the authors I've been talking to online. I was totally giddy and fan Girling. I completely enjoyed every minute of it and I would do it again. The doctors appointments are for the same issue I've been having for a while. It's just I get to see a whole bunch of them now I saw my primary care. Had to go to urgent care twice for allergic reactions. I get to see my doctor this week for a check on a med I'm taking. Next week I get to go see an allergist. I'm hoping and praying that I get some answers. I have been writing more and I think it has something to do with the medication that I want to help with my migraines. It also helps me sleep so I'm thinking more clearly than I used to. So I've been writing a bit mo...

October

This month went pretty good. the only events I had was Archon 48 and Books By The Arch. September

September has started good, I went to Lexington Legendary Book Bash as a signing author. It went well I sold 4 book boxes and a copy of my vampire book. I met so many wonderful people, I was at the table next to Micca Michaels and across the way from Evie Black. All the readers were so kind and fun to talk to. I plan on doing it again next year. The rest of this month I am working on reorganizing and making sure I have everything I need for the next few events. I am going to be at Archon 48 from Oct. 3-5. Archon is an awesome scifi convention that takes place in the St Louis area. I enjoy going every year, I get to see some awesome cosplays. I also get to see some friends who I don't get to see most of the year. The event after Archon is Books By The Arch Oct. 11th, this will be the first year for this event for me. so I don't have any idea of how it will go, I am hoping for it to go well. I will update on the these events next month. Happy reading Happy writing

I will spend the rest of Sept. like I have in Aug. preparing for the events in Oct. and hopefully get more writing done. I need to get back to work happy reading happy writing

July

July was one of the months I didn't have an event where I did a book signing. But it was still busy, I edited book 4 of my Ann Smith serises. Before I gave it to my beta reader who is really good with all the english stuff I am not very good with. I did some writing done on more than one story. I also took part in the weekly prompt from the Hold my pen promptcast. Lets talk about the editing process. For me its self editing to catch as must as I can. I self edit at least four times before I give it to anyone else. My beta reader is my mother in law to be honest. She loves all the things that deal with english, which is helpful to me. I am dyslexic, so I am not great with spelling and grammar. She goes over and reads my stories ensuring everything looks good. She is a huge help to me. My muse has been a busy bee and has me working on a few stories I have written at least a few pages on. I also have written on a few new story ideas, the only thing I haven't worked on was...

May and June

May was uneventful I spent all of may and most of June getting ready to go to Getting Witchy With it in New Orleans. I will get in more detail about the event in a moment, I want to give you all some idea of what it took for me to get ready. First let me say we had already had our room resereved last year for the end of June. I spent my time making button/pins,magnets and I had to order some book marks and busness cards. I had to make sure we had everything we would need for the event and the 4 days we would be gone. I made sure our son knew how to take care of my birds and that he had food to eat while we where gone. We left early Friday June 27th it was a 10 hour drive, we got to the hotel early that evening. we rested most of the evening /night then hung out with some fellow authors who also were selling books at Getting Witchy with It. that Saturday June 28th my husband and i went to sign in and support authors who would not be there Sunday. We spend a few hours there, we ...

A lot of books 5 so far has been written with writing prompts that was share om Hold my Pen Promptcast. That happens every Saturday night on twitch. I also got the book cover for book 4 done. now I have had some health issues interrupt my work. Nothing life threating like cancer but rather bothersome. February and March

February  Sorry this is for February,I have been in a writing fog for a while. I had an event in KC MO. Feb. 8th, it went ok. I sold some books and buttons, I met lots of nice people. I finished book 4 and started editing, I spent the day with my husband on his birthday at the end of the month. Nothing else really happened in February. March I finished editing book 4 and started transcribing it into the computer. I started writing book 5 I got some of that in the computer as well. I have been taking part in a writing prompt cast for a while now so I write on those as well. I went to the dr. Nothing bad just wanted to figure out why I keep having allergic reactions to everything. She ordered some test to be done. All but one was allergy related, a few days after my appointment I got a call that the results for the non allergy test came back and it doesn’t look good. I have to she a few specialists. But I am sure I will be ok. But since the phone call I haven’t been able to con...

January

January was a very long month, it seemed to take forever. I did get stuff done last month. I am sorry I didn’t make this post sooner. I was working on getting everything done and together for the event I took part in on February 8th. I will go into it in the February newsletter/ blog.   I took part in a weekly writing prompt from hold my pen promptcast. Julie Defisher started last year. I have added to the list of wips I need to work on. I wrote on a few wips I need to get done.i am trying to get a backlog of manuscripts at different stages of the editing, formatting, and publishing stages. Mainly so I don’t feel rushed to finish the books I am writing.   I made more buttons/pins for February 8th, and I ordered author copies at the beginning of January. I was told they would be here January 24th. Then it was moved to the 6th of February, after like 5 chat conversations I got them on the 7th of February. That was last Friday and the day before my event, and we’r...

December recap

Hi everybody, I thought I would just post the recap for December and something that I’ve been thinking about lately now December I wasn’t super busy with events.  I had one event at the beginning of the month that did not go as well I was as I was hoping. But I did sell a couple books. I have been writing more, but most of my writing has been on these writing prompts for this month, but I am still writing. I did re-release a book called Nirvash, A Vampire‘s Tale. It’s going OK, I’ve sold a few copies. I am promoting everything as much as I can. It’s only been about a week. Now to what I’ve been thinking about lately. I’ve been thinking about the fact that there are people out there who think they’ve lost their chance to create to write to draw whatever And I saw something in a video just now that reminded me that I haven’t given up on my dream. Everyone who has a dream shouldn’t give up on it even if they’ve had to put it aside for a short time or a long time. The best exampl...

November

November was a quiet month, I did some writing on some on going W.I.P.s and some newer ones. I didn’t have any events planned for the month. The most exciting thing was an issue with my mother in-law’s stove.   The on going W.I.Ps are book 4 of my Ann Smith series it’s about 40,000 words and I am hoping it’s the last one in the series. I am working on formatting Nirvash, A Vampire’s Tale for re-release I am hoping to have it out by the end of  December. I am working on Lovebug’s story to have it out sometime next year. The newer ones are not titled yesterday but most of them have a few hundred to a thousand words each. But I am hoping to get them out in the next few years.   Now the most exciting thing being issues with my mother in-law’s stove. The weekend before thanksgiving her oven stopped working. My husband took her out to get a new one, and it was supposed to be delivered the Wednesday before thanksgiving. It wasn’t delivered, and to this day it’s still not b...

October

October was an interesting month, the first weekend I was at Archon 47, and I made 10 sales and was a panelist at like 5 panels. It was a really fun weekend; I met lots of awesome people. I have been working on getting Nirvash, A Vampire's tale ready to be published hopefully by the end of the year.  so, I was working on everything for that. I added 3 to 4 works in progress in October.      Archon 47 was the only event I had in October I made the 10 sales which is not the amount I had hoped but it was good. I believe that my panel schedule was not conducive for making book sales. I have decided that I will not be a part of panels next year to see if my theory is correct. I got to talk to a lot of awesome authors and artist that weekend.     Nirvash, A Vampire's tale has been edited and I have just finished the work on the book cover today. I am hoping to get ARCs out soon. there isn't much else to do before getting it published, which s...
