Trying to get everything done and have time to write

  life has been a little hectic in the Jones household as of late. I have been running the kids to doctor appointments and dentist appointments with the help of my mom inlaw ( I love u mom) the year checkups and getting the papers my kids need for school. But while at the dentist for my kids, we found out my son had 2 little cavities in adult teeth that would not heal on their own. So this past Tuesday one was filled and tomorrow (Friday) the other one gets filled.  So there have been lots of early mornings to make sure everything gets done so my kids can started school on time this August. So I have not been writing as much or as long as I want or need to. Don't you just love how life gets in the way sometimes.

  Enough about my busy life, time to tell you what I have been working on lately. I am trying to get one of my stories done in time to send off by the dead line for the writing critique workshop that will be happening in October. This year I am sending in a story that is for my daughter. One that only my daughter has seen parts of, I am just trying to get 20 pages done enough for the workshop.


  I am off to write some more before hubby gets home and we go have dinner with mom inlaw

April so far

      April so far is going well; I have been getting some writing done. I also have been trying to do more to promote my books. I have also done one event so far this month (April 13th), I have another one this coming weekend (April 21st). I sold seven books at this last event two sets of all three books that are currently out, and one of the first book (New Life By The Full Moon).      I have been working on book four of the Ann Smith series which I believe is the last book of the series. I have also been working on rewriting my vampire book Nirvash, a vampire's tale. along with that book I am writing a companion book about Lovebug, the vampire kitten's life.       I have been doing the normal promoting stuff, like scheduling posts on my social medias. I have also started a reading group but it's not going well so far. But I am hopeful it will get better. This month is hard.

    I am having a rough month, the only event I had this month was on the 3rd. it did not go as planned, it was a slow event. No one really showed up to it, I did sell 2 books that day. I have been trying to write more, but it isn't going as well as I would like but I am getting words on paper so to speak. I am also dealing with some health issues; I will be OK I just need to get through this.         But I am still moving forward with my writing, scheduling events I am taking part of and promoting my books, events. I know this is not the most thrilling information, but this is my life. I write this blog to let people who want to do anything creative as more than a hobby that sometime life can effect what you are doing more than you could ever think possible. But I do not give up on my dreams. life can be a pain some time, but it doesn't mean you stop. I will get back to writing happy reading happy writing

So far this March.

 I have only done one event at the beginning of the month. It was a first event for the hosts, so there is room for improvement. It was not really that bad. I made 4 sales which was pretty good.   I have been writing on a new story that is tied in to a vampire book I unpublished because it needs a lot of work. But it going well, I also have been working on book 4 of my Ann Smith series. I am still unsure if I will publish it. To help with my writing I have been taking part in some writing sprints with other authors. I find it helpful especially when I have a question on wording.  My next event is April 13th at the Highland Illinois knights of Columbus. It is with a host I have worked with before so it should be a good event.  I know this is kind of short but I haven’t had a whole lot to update you all on.
